HCPA Holds Workshop with California Department of Pesticide Regulation

Will provide direct insight from DPR staff, practical guidance for registrants and dedicated opportunities for dialogue and Q&A.

Join the Household and Commercial Products Association, Exponent and California Department of Pesticide Regulation staff for a two-part virtual workshop offering an inside look at California’s pesticide registration and post-registration processes.

Designed for companies that register and maintain pesticide products in California, the two-session workshop, held on Sept. 24 and Oct. 1 from noon to 3 pm ET, will provide direct insight from DPR staff, practical guidance for registrants and dedicated opportunities for dialogue and Q&A.

Navigating the Registration Process

Take an inside look at DPR’s registration process, from submission through review and approval. DPR staff will discuss how applications move through the agency, how workloads and review queues are managed, common submission issues that can result in deficiencies or delays, and how registrants can prepare for implementation of AB 2113 processing timelines.

Going Beyond Registration

Dive deeper into the regulatory requirements and processes that registrants encounter after initial registration. Topics will include reevaluation, risk assessment, and data call-ins; a CalPEST deep dive featuring practical tips and best practices; and California-specific considerations for Section 3 products, minimum-risk pesticides under 25(b), and pesticide devices.
